The UNDP supports MIDES (Ministerio de Desarrollo Social) and SESAN (Secretaría de Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutricional) in the implementation of planned strategic actions in the General Policy of Gobierno 2024-2028, in line with the intersectoral strategy of Gobierno for the reducción of the pobreza and malnutrition, which allows it to respond in a coordinated and intersectoral manner with other Gobierno institutions for the attention of the Guatemalan population, prioritizing the improvement of the familiar habitat like the vivienda, the environment and the health, apoyando the reduction of the Determining factors of health and malnutrition. These actions guarantee the accumulation of those left behind with adequate living conditions, health, water and sanitation, among others; así as the advance of the human desarrollo in the country.
La cobertura del RSH (Registro Social de Hogares) en 2025, alcanzará a 50 municipios ubicados en 11 departments de Guatemala, focusizados de los indicadores de pobreza, extrema pobreza y malnutrición. To contribute to the successful implementation of this process, the UNDP will support the SESAN through the volunteering of National Unions, in order to contact the personnel necessary for the realization of the various activities that involve the implementation of the Registro Social de Hogares, both in the field and in the registry, processing and analysis of information through the RSH computer system.
The Registro Social de Hogares constitutes one of the strategic herramientas of the Ministerio de Desarrollo Social, for the effective and transparent identification, of the population in conditions of pobreza and extreme pobreza to which directs the interventions and social programs in the general mark of the national social protection system and specifically through the Estrategia Intersectorial del gobierno de Guatemala, para el abordaje de la Pobreza y la desigualdad.
Requires the contract of UN Volunteers to be registered in the Registro Social de Hogares en los Departamentos de Guatemala, as Censista del levantamiento de información través de la Ficha de Evaluación de Condiciones Socioeconómicas (FECS), following protocols and procedures established, with the end of obtain accurate and reliable data that allows you to improve the focus and assignment of programs, identify people and stay in high and low conditions.
Task description
a) To support and permanently support the UNV surveyors, in the organization of the work and the equitable assignment of tareas distributed to each of the surveyors of the team;
b) Supervise and apply work planning procedures, reporting any incident or situation that affects or limits the team’s operation;
c) Velar por el control de calidad de la collection de l’information y la correcta realization de las preguntas de la Ficha de Evaluación de Condiciones Socioeconómicas (FECS); On the basis of the UNV census, we increase capacity and improved actions in the field;
d) To participate in planning meetings and assign structures to surveys;
e) Guarantee communication and coordination with municipal authorities and community leaders to promote governance and the proper registration of the Registrar Social de Hogares (RSH).
f) Serve as the coordination point with MIDES delegations in the territories and at central level.
Expected results: – Realization effective in time and quality of the information received through the Registro Social de Hogares.
– Guarantee the proper functioning in the field of the involved actors and personnel contracted for the realization of the RSH.
– Field coordination between censuses, pilots and local authorities and communities is facilitated.
