El proyecto “Medios de vida resilientes de pequeños agricultores vulnerable en los paisajes mayas y el Corredor Seco Guatemala” -RELIVE- implemented alongside the Gobierno institutions of Guatemala, like its: MARN, MAGA, INAB and INSIVUMEH, based on the financing of the Green Climate Fund and the co-financial of the Agencia de Cooperación International de Corea (KOICA). This project will forge the average life of five thousand small producers in 29 municipalities in the departments of Petén, Chiquimula, Alta and Baja Verapaz, and avoid the emission of 1 million tons of CO2 in the neighborhood of six years, equivalent to 8% of the meta that Guatemala has compromised before the Climate Change Convention for 2030. The project will be implemented and will generate three key results:

Critical production systems are resilient to climate and improved farmers, ensuring food safety and adapting to life’s lifestyles;
The water resources at the level of the microcuencas are managed in a sustainable manner and are restored to the landscapes to guarantee a stable supply of water for agriculture under the conditions of sequía induced by the climatic change.
Local and national institutions adopt climate change adaptation mechanisms and have a strong capacity to apply them.

The Sales Assistant is under the direct supervision of the National Operations Specialist with the guidance of the Assistant Representative (Program).

Specialization Camp

Appointed in administrative management responsible for the acquisition of goods and services, developing comparative documents, requirements, purchase orders, contributions, participating in sales committees, among others.

Tasks and responsibilities

Llevar a cabo the processes of acquisition of goods and services in compliance with the standards of the FAO manuals.
Review the approved requirements in the GRMS system and verify the completion of the respective annexes.
Prepare four comparisons with a minimum of 3 contributions
Please follow the instructions provided to guarantee the receipt of requested invitations to participate in the process of purchasing goods and services.
Notify officially of the award of goods and/or services to the participating providers, as well as to the directors of the award.
Guarantee the adequate supply of goods or services.
Participate as secretary(a) in the Local Compras Committee.
Issue purchase orders for each purchase process based on 3 submissions or solicitations, and following approval.
Carry out the integration process with the Acuerdo GRMS Cartas and carry out the corresponding framework for the contract of the organizations providing services for the Acuerdo Cartas by FAO Guatemala.
Update approved purchase orders; as well as the sequence of the details of the receipt of the cards for possible modifications.

Professional university in economic sciences and related areas
Five years of relevant experience in the area of ​​sales and contracting of goods and services.
Practical knowledge of the Spanish language
Nationality of Guatemala.
