ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
These positions are located in country offices. The incumbent will report to the Warehouse Manager, Logistics Assistant, and the Logistics Officer and Country Director.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Implement well-defined, standard supply chain and logistics activities and processes to enable the effective delivery of services in the areas of receiving, handling, and delivery, as well as food.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (indicative and non-exhaustive list):
Within the delegated authority, the person will be responsible for the following activities
Perform organoleptic analysis of the product upon receipt at the warehouse and prepare the corresponding reports.
Ensure adequate collection of samples of food received at the warehouse by suppliers.
Make records of food delivery to the receiving boards of the members
Compare partner inventories with WFP internal controls.
Support in inventory taking exercises.
Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reports on warehouse operations.
Responsible for entering information into the WFP electronic system (LESS)
Warehouse supervision assigned to assess and implement WFP storage standards.
Participate in the creation of any reports or documents required to ensure proper operation of the warehouses.
Actively participate in the correct implementation and compliance of the industrial safety policies established by the PMA
Organize documents according to WFP standards and procedures.
Carry out any other activity not described in these terms of reference that is related to the purpose of this intervention.
FUNCTIONAL CAPABILITIES
Supply chain management and optimization:Demonstrates an aptitude for monitoring and reporting supply chain operations to enable teams to efficiently assess the performance and sustainability of current networks.
Project and resource planning and management:Supports team activities related to planning, forecasting, and resource management by collecting data from a variety of sources.
Information management and reporting:Gathers accurate and timely information and data to enable informed reporting decisions within its own unit and, consequently, within the broader humanitarian community.
Market analysis, procurement, and operations execution: Ability to gather and compile the information necessary for WFP to make informed operational decisions.
Warehouse and Inventory Management: Ability to perform daily activities related to warehouse and inventory management in accordance with WFP warehouse operational procedures.
Demonstrates awareness of the importance of technical assistance and coordination with key stakeholders, as well as the ability to carry out logistics activities while respecting individual mandates and program priorities.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE TO PERFORM THIS ROLE:
Experience in monitoring various aspects of logistics operations.
Experience in providing support for warehouse management.
Experience in providing support for inventory management.
Experience in data entry and extraction of periodic reports.
MINIMUM STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
Completion of a diversified education cycle. A post-secondary education certificate in the relevant functional area will be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of three years (verifiable) experience in logistics operations with an emphasis on warehouse management, as well as the skills and knowledge described below.

Office proficiency (Word and Excel are essential at an intermediate/advanced level).
